The USF Center for the Improvement of Teaching and Research in STEM Education (CITRUS) was approved by the State University System of Florida's Board of Governors on August 15, 2014. CITRUS was founded by faculty from the Departments of Chemistry, Integrative Biology, and Mathematics & Statistics under the mission "To promote postsecondary student success in STEM education through high-impact scholarship and the development of competitive graduate students and postdoctoral scholars highly skilled in research and practice."
